Just kidding. It looks like XIG has a driver for the i740. The Xfree86 site doesn't make any mention of the i740 that I can find. The starfighter is expensive enough that you'll probably be reluctant to swap it out. If it was one of the no-name i740 boards, I'd suggest passing it to a friend who is fixated on windows, and grabbing something X friendly. But I have to throw in a disclaimer, I've seen what the clone builders pay for video boards these days. Its almost funny.
