Again: did you check which sshd version is running by opening a telnet connection to port 22 ? telnet 127.0.0.1 22 should do the trick If no sshd is running, try "which sshd" so you'll see which sshd daemon you're trying to start. Probably you're still trying to start /usr/sbin/sshd instead of the new one at /usr/local/sbin/sshd Also make sure that the following line is in /etc/rc.conf and reboot after you modified it: sshd_program="/usr/local/sbin/sshd" Please do not repost your question each day. Try the tips you may receive, and give us some new feedback if it still does'nt work.
