I tried it last night with another provider and got past the delay problems. But I still have the name resolution problem. It looks like nslookup makes a query packet, sends it, waits for a response, and never gets one. I can connect by hand to a remote host's domain port and send the same packet by hand but I get no response. There wouldn't happen to be any bugs in the resolver library, in res_mkquery to be exact?
