on 4.11 /etc/sysctl.conf does not appear to be an effective place to put kern.ipc.*=<whatever> statements. nor does /boot/loader.conf, unless the foregoing is the wrong syntax. is it? or does one need to recompile the kernel? David Coder Network Engineer NTT/Verio
