This is a hardware issue.  Period. :-/  You are getting errors on your 
IDE bus.  Hopefully checking the cable to make sure it is fully seated 
and then replacing it if neccesary will solve the problem.  If it 
doesn't, you have either a bad disk or bad controller.  (No, I don't 
care how new it is. ;)
