Yes, I was planning on using Windows NT for IDL compilation (even though I
hate the OS, I do have an OrbixWeb license for it...)

If I am successful in trying one of the may free Unix/Java/IDL Compilers I
will contribute my results to the group.  If anyone out there has
experience with this already I would appreciate a head's up.
