I've been hanging out on comp.mail.sendmail recently, and it's noticeable that there is a fairly high proportion of FreeBSD users posting there compared to fora for some similar software packages. But then exim-users@exim.org (for example) has a relatively large proportion of Debian users. I guess that just reflects the tendency to use what the OS provides if you don't have an overriding reason to use anything else.
