This has been baffling me for awhile now, I hope someone on this list can shed some light on it for me. I have an SB Live Value, which seems to work fine for a single audio channel, but I can't seem to get it to support multiple audio channels (which it supports under Windows). In other words, I'd like to be able to hear system beeps when I'm playing oggs. The strange thing is, it seems to probe the other channels just fine: <escaflowne/p7> (357 /dev): cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Jul 31 2001 18:47:42 Installed devices: pcm0: <Creative EMU10K1> at io 0xd400 irq 9 (4p/3r channels duplex) But I can only get one of the channels to work. Is there some trick to getting multi-channel audio output? Do I have to hand craft some devices with magic minor numbers or something? -- \ |_ _|__ __|_ \ __| Jason Andresen jandrese@mitre.org |\/ | | | / _| Network and Distributed Systems Engineer _| _|___| _| _|_\___| Office: 703-883-7755 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
