Try:

	xwd | xwdtopnm | pnmtojpeg  > foo.jpg

=2E.. and xli (xloadimage) for lightweight image viewing program.

Gimp, ImageMagick, ksnapshot are too heavyweight IMO if you just want a
screenshot.
