https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=201483 Bug ID: 201483 Summary: [MAINTAINER] graphics/qgis: Dependency on graphics/gdal-grass not needed Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: rhurlin@gwdg.de Created attachment 158625 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=158625&action=edit patch to remove gdal-grass dependency After updating GDAL from 1.11.2 to 2.0.0, a new error message confused me: > gdalinfo ERROR 1: A non OGR driver is registered with the same name: GRASS Usage: gdalinfo [--help-general] [-json] [-mm] [-stats] [-hist] [-nogcp] [-nomd] [-norat] [-noct] [-nofl] [-checksum] [-proj4] [-listmdd] [-mdd domain|`all`]* [-sd subdataset] [-oo NAME=VALUE]* datasetname Obviously the GRASS driver was registered twice. The second one came from graphics/gdal-grass. The only case, graphics/gdal-grass is needed on my boxes, was as a dependency by the installation of graphics/qgis. Looking into ChangeLog from graphics/qgis, there is an old entry about gdal-grass: rblazek <rblazek@c8812cc2-4d05-0410-92ff-de0c093fc19c> 2010-03-15 GDAL-GRASS driver no more necessary, new requirement: exceptions support for GRASS So obviously, this dependency is not needed any more for a long time now. Sorry, that I did not notice earlier. After removing this dependency from graphics/qgis Makefile, rebuilding QGIS and deinstalling gdal-grass, the above mentioned error disappeared and QGIS works fine as before. The attached patch should remove the dependency to graphics/gdal-grass. PORTREVISION is incremented by one to enforce rebuilding. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
