Still using RCS here and there, esp. managing /etc. Having to install
it separately on machines that are not or seldom connected would be a
pain.

On a more general note: *if* you absolutely have to kill functionality
and move it into ports, please do create a ports/freebsd category, and
move to it stuff like net/freebsd-uucp etc... This way, all code that was
previously in /usr/src would be availabel at one place.
