Im having some major probs with configuring Xwindows on this FreeBSD 4.4
box. Whenever I run xf86config, I go through the text installer, and
choose all the options. I tell it my mouse is found at /dev/psm0 (its a
ps2 mouse brand A4 with scroll wheels), when I start X up using startx, it
dumps itself telling there is no core pointer.

When I use the default option of /dev/mouse is starts X up (I have not
installed any windows managers yet... want X working first) but the mouse
is all screwed up, moving all over the place, then freezing or sometimes
clearing itself from the screen alltogether.

Can anyone give me any assistance on how to get X 4 working or what im
doing wrong... My machine config is -

Duron 900
Gigabyte Mobo
Aopen PA3030 TNT2 32 meg video card
FreeBSD 4.4
XFree86 version 4.1.0

Im really stuck here. this whole system worked beautifully on a CD
installation of FreeBSD4.3 with the CD version of XF86.... now with this
CD install of FreeBSD 4.4 its being a nightmare.

Thanks

Chris
