The following reply was made to PR i386/121159; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Volker <volker@vwsoft.com> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, mefistofelez@hotmail.com Cc: Subject: Re: i386/121159: Newly installed FreeBSD (both version 6.3 and 7.0 RC3) hang on boot Date: Thu, 28 Feb 2008 15:58:09 +0100 Pavel, unfortunately we have no idea what hardware you're operating so please include the following information: `dmesg' `devinfo -r' `sysctl hw' `sysctl debug.acpi' and content of /boot/loader.conf I'm wondering if you made any additions into /boot/device.hints? As this can be an ACPI or a very hardware specific issue, I'm wondering if you've already checked for a BIOS update from your hw vendor? Thanks!
