The root line in /etc/passwd:

root:*:0:0:Charlie &:/root:/bin/csh

Permissions:

drwxr-xr-x  15 root  wheel     2048 Jan 11 15:17 etc
drwxrwxrwt   4 root  wheel      512 Jan 11 14:38 tmp
