It's not the easiest installer in the world, nor the easiest to understand, and definitely not the most forgiving, but if it was, we'd be using microsoft linux. (shutter) Eww, that's a scary thought. :) The setup software in some ways assumes that you already know kinda what you're doing. When I was a greenhorn to Fbsd that was the one program I dreaded getting into. Now there are times I'd rather use it than figure out how to do it by hand at the command prompt. Considering you're using such a powerful OS that's not for computer newbies, I guess the installer kinda follows that pattern. Powerful, yet not oversimplified.
