The sluggish mouse might be a sign of other problems. I have only had a problem with that when I was using Gnome or KDE. They would eat into my system resources and the clearest symptom was a horribly sluggish mouse. I am guessing that any resource intensive window manager will cause similar problems. Something to consider. If you know that's not a consideration, ignore me, but I thought I would add my two cents. :) Sincerely, F.
