By the way, in earlier dmesgs I have seen a couple of "stray vector interrupt 2029" messages, but I can't make out if they occur at system shutdown or kernel bootup. There was another peculiarity in the previous boot dmesg. Somewhere during the initialization of the SCSI disks, all sorts of garbage is printed. I've included it way down below.
