  Put the following line in your kernel configuration file:

options EISA_SLOTS=12

  ...then rebuild and install it. If you haven't already built a custom
kernel, please look at the handbook
(http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook50.html) on how to do it. It's
always a very good idea.
