I'm sure by now someone has pointed out the difference between demon and daemon. There is however a like difference between the biblical fallen arch-angel Lucifer and what is now known as devil. A devil or rather duvel (as in the Belgian beer :) is an ancient honorary title for the shaman of the area. When the biblican convertors went up north to convert they annexed many a 'pagean' custom like, say, mid-winter solstice AKA the joelfest, now commonly known as christmas. They also desecrated many a pagean holy place, of course. But another thing they did was to install fear in the general populace. This they did by giving their fallen arch angel yet another name, to wit Devil/Duvel/Duivel. Or whatever the upper shaman was locally called. As well as depicting their Satan, now Devil, in the (then :) most horrendous manner. Usually as a goat like being. So in the first place it is not a demon or devil. In the second place what you think a devil is, it is not. Your devil is mere propoganda of your own church's making and has nothing to do with the actual historical devil figure who, granted, wore some beast's hide but was a mere man and not a fallen arch angel by any means. And thirdly, just don't display the logo if it makes you unhappy. Roelof -- Home is where the (@) http://eboa.com/ is.
