Jordan, you know this is bullshit as well as I do.  So you say there's a
design.. where's the design document?  Just like SMPng, OP intends to
have a design doc before it really starts writing code (there is some
code being worked on atm, but not much related to packaging itself).  So
did pkg_* have a design document, and/or does libh?

I didn't think so.  You can't have a chicken before an egg.

Code that gets properly designed usually lasts longer (Granted, pkg_*
sure outlived predictions at 7 years, but anyway) as a principle,
particularly in the real world, which you purportedly do for a living.

Hence, we're still in design stage because not enough people have
bothered to subscribe to the lists and discuss things.
