I only have one machine that has a drive smaller than 8.4GB, which is cylinder 1024 with LBA turned on. FWIW, your machine will look like mine at that point except that I typically have 3 HDs on individual controllers for buildworld speed. I also use the NTLD to boot FreeBSD. FreeBSD / always goes on the 1st HD. Things are spread out after that.
