RFC 1700 Assigned numbers (October 1994) RFC 1886 DNS Extensions to support IP version 6 (December 1995) RFC 1034 (November 1987) would have you returning a answer of NOERROR/NOTIMP. Too many load balancer vendors are cowboys. It's time they were brought into line. If that means bringing in the regulators so be it.
