Dear All,

We have a pair of TAINET T-288C/Ext working on 2 wire leased line
(S/N=40dB, V34+ 33.6 stable connect)

Both modems are connected to FreeBSD 2.2.5 and 2.1.7
machines, running pppd. When trying to ftp something from the other side
cps is about 3K/sec on .zip files.

So everything seems to be fine EXCEPT ping and telnet :((

Ping is too slow :( ! - about 350-400ms minimum !
There are also _visible_ delays with telnet.

DTE speed is set to 57600 on both computers and the overall load of
computers is low.

Thanks in advance,
Oleg Kolesnikov
