Nah, 5.x is dead and has begun to decompose, but there was a bit of a 
mix-up in getting the pre-announcements widely publicized so we decided 
to hold off on the burial process in case some people only saw the final 
termination notice and not the pre-announcements.

Let's give it a month and then we can begin to actively remove 5.x 
support.  Waiting shouldn't cause major difficulties.
