I'd look precisely where you looked first. Then I'd check my memory
thoroughly, most random "silent" reboots I've had I traced to faulty or
unsuitable memory modules. Why don't I check the memory first, you ask. Go
figure.=A0:)

Yes, check PR #19219. Unfortunately I have two dozen le NICs lying
around but no spare 4.x box to test them with, so I can't help out until I
find/build one. If you look at the driver source though, you'll see that
some change was made in mid-July, that could possibly have fixed it.
