The following reply was made to PR ports/74117; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Blaz Zupan <blaz@si.FreeBSD.org> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, gvs@rinet.ru Cc: Subject: Re: ports/74117: net-mgmt/nagios performance patches Date: Sat, 20 Nov 2004 09:25:02 +0100 (CET) > Nagios interacts with MySQL the very expensive way using DELETE FROM > for erasing tables and SELECT w/o WHERE for getting host and service > status. This makes database interaction performance significantly > low. The proposed patch addresses those problems. Thanks for your effort, but this does not belong into the FreeBSD port. The patch should be submitted to the Nagios authors for inclusion into the original distribution. The author can be contacted here: http://www.nagios.org/contact/ Actually, the best place to discuss this would probably be the nagios-devel mailing list. Details on subscription are here: http://www.nagios.org/mailinglist.php
