I've got a PowerEdge 1300 running two PIII CPUs and 3.2 (RELEASE?
STABLE? I'm not sure), and it seems to be running just fine. I've
heard from others on either the -current or -stable lists that
they're doing just fine with other PowerEdge hardware configs, and I
believe even later versions of the OS.

In fact, you might know the machine that I'm using in this role
-- didn't we recently add you as a peer? ;-)

Unix is like a wigwam -- no Gates, no Windows, and an Apache inside.
Unix is very user-friendly. It's just picky who its friends are.
