The problem is I cannot connect to ftp from anywhere but my freebsd box. If I try to connect to ftp via the ip address it = fails,=20 but if I connect using 127.0.0.1 it works. I can ping the box from=20 anywhere on my lan so the box seems to know its IP address.=20 Also I know the nic is working because I installed apache and any box on my lan can bring up my default home page.
