I had the exact same problem, and it seems to have something to do with the system time. I had the system clock set to UTC, but I had not adjusted it. My clock was a few hours ahead, and not only my buildworld failed, but also a build of netatalk (/usr/ports/net/netatalk-asun). After I set the clock to the correct time, everything went perfectly, as usual. I'm still trying to find out what precisely caused this. Any pointers are very welcome !
