I did these kind of maipulations, but it required that I newfs the resized
and/or moved partitions. I passed from:

/	30 Mb
swap	70Mb
/usr	1Gb
/var	30Mb

to:

/, swap: same
/usr	1.3Gb
/var	70Mb

I'll soon be publishing a 'howto' on my web page. As for your question,
yes, it is possible, but you must BACKUP!
