I've looked through the mailing list archives, there's no real clear answer as to how to this thing to work. I don't have windows, and i did: cd /dev ; sh MAKEDEV snd0 I've had this problem the whole time, I forgot to mention that I did MAKEDEV, whenever I turn on PNPBIOS, the kernel complains that it couldn't allocate some resources, etc. even with the PNP Aware OS option turned on in the BIOS setup. >From: Doug Denault <doug@safeport.com> >Reply-To: Doug Denault <doug@safeport.com> >To: Geoff Ludwiczak <ludwicza@hotmail.com> >CC: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org >Subject: Re: sound card problem (CMI8330) >Date: Wed, 17 Oct 2001 17:39:52 -0400 (EDT) > >If you have access to archives of this list.
