If you are having some problems with net-snmp in FreeBSD-4.10:
- Don't use latest net-snmp from sourceforge.
- Use the /usr/ports/net-mgmt/net-snmp4/ which is the original UCD-SNMP
package.
- Use also the mrtg package which comes with ports.
 Now, I can already monitor my DSL link!
