Something was built using the old version of png. I don't know how you tell which one it is. My fast system has dual 866 coppermines and I did my builds from the port. If you have a /usr/ports/packages/All, you can create your own package. Instead of using "make install" I did a "make package" and 4 hours later, I had a KDE-2.2 system. I used the resulting tarballs on the other machines.
