Hello Everyone,

I would just like to thank all the people that gave me good ideas that fixed
my modem. I am typing this email on FreeBSD and my USR performance pro
modem works like a charm.

Windows told me it was on COM5, but the modem works on sio3 on FreeBSD. To
get it to work, I had to include the start I/O address and irq on the sio3
line and exclude all the other sio lines. My dmesg still says that it is an
"unknown card" on the pci bus. But, whatever works.

I have a question. I can't check my hotmail with lynx because it gives me a
message saying that it isn't compatible with the https protocol. Is there a
different text based browser that I can use that supports https, or should I
just switch free-email providers?

Korey
