    You can also make a menu for twm with things like that:


menu "background"

"black"         !"xsetroot -solid black"
"grid"          !"xsetroot -mod 5 7 -bg red -fg blue"
"my cat"        !"xv -root -max -rmode 5 -quit ~ruth/pics/zen.gif &"
}


    see in the file $HOME/.twmrc for more explanations about
    integrating this menu in twm.
