Actually, a little more careful historical examination tends to indicate that if the users are softened up a little in advance, and perhaps not kept quite so much in the _dark_ about the whole deal, such changes are actually relatively painless. However, you're basically agreeing with my point - it is currently untenable for one of the -core honorarium to exercise their power of veto on an emotional or personal-interest basis. And this is where the alternative body comes in; it needs to be comprised of people who are willing to actually *participate* in the development process, unlike the bulk of -core at this point in time. -- \\ Sometimes you're ahead, \\ Mike Smith \\ sometimes you're behind. \\ mike@smith.net.au \\ The race is long, and in the \\ msmith@freebsd.org \\ end it's only with yourself. \\ msmith@cdrom.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
