I was moving from one server to a new one, changing some paths in the process. Cyrus was *highly* confused by a mix of this and the upgrade from 1.5.19 to 1.6.22. I had to use a program called dohash. This was located in the /usr/ports/mail/cyrus/work/cyrus*/tools directory if I didn't type "make clean". It had to be run as the user cyrus (which is odd, since that user's shell is /sbin/nologin by default). Then I had to fix a problem with my Cyrus partitions (which has nothing to do with FreeBSD partitions). I discovered that last part after a telnet localhost 143, a ". login user pass", and a ". select INBOX" command. I'm including all these details just in case someone else might benefit from them and to put it in the list's archive search system.
