i don't think so - especially if you aren't using compression.  the reason
there wouldn't be a huge extra load

o there isn't thousands of files in the CERT tree - say unlike branches.
  so you can afford to run it say 4 times/day without a huge impact since
  its quite small.

o there isn't `huge' files in it.. they're all very small text files mainly.

i already mirror the freebsd cert area separately and more frequently than
normal for the above reason.
