Hi

I'm trying to get my Awe64 to work with 4.0-Release.

I've followed the instructions at www.defcon1.org (kernel config +
/boot/kernel.conf & /boot/boot.conf) but without much sucess.

Below is the config for my kernel.

# Controls all "VOXWARE" driver sound devices. See Luigi's driver
# below for an alternate which may work better for some cards.
#
device snd0
device sb0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1
device sbxvi0 at isa? drq 5
device sbmidi0 at isa? port 0x330
device opl0 at isa? port 0x388
device awe0 at isa? port 0x620

and from dmesg I get

config> pnp 1 0 os enable irq0 5 drq0 1 drq1 5 port0 0x220 port1 0x330 port2
0x388
Invalid command or syntax. Type `?' for help.
config> pnp 1 1 os disable
Invalid command or syntax. Type `?' for help.
config> pnp 1 2 os enable port0 0x620 port1 0xa20 port2 0xe20
Invalid command or syntax. Type `?' for help.
config> pnp 1 3 os disable
Invalid command or syntax. Type `?' for help.
config> quit

sb_reset_dsp failed
sb_reset_dsp failed
awe0 at port 0x620 on isa0

awe0: driver is using old-style compatability shims
unknown0: <Audio> at port 0x220-0x22f,0x330-0x331,0x388-0x38b irq 5 drq 1,5 on
isa0
unknown1: <Game> at port 0x200-0x207 on isa0
unknown2: <WaveTable> at port 0x621-0x624 on isa0

I also checked the mail list archives and some-one has mentioned a site on
neosoft though this now seems to unavailable.

Thankx for any help

Marc
