Hi I keep getting kernel panics with message the "clist reservation botch" on my 4.4-RELEASE box. Has anyone encountered this before or does anyone know what it means? /var/log/messages: Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: panic: clist reservation botch Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: syncing disks... 7 Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: done Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: Uptime: 10m27s Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: dumping to dev #ad/0x30001, offset 114944 Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: dump ata0: resetting devices .. ad0: invalidating queued requests Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: done Oct 9 14:21:32 passion /kernel: 510 [CTRL-C to abort] [CTRL-C to abort] [CTRL-Cto abort] [CTRL-C to abort] [CTRL-C to abort] Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project. It just stopped for hours right after printing the first number (510) representing the amount of remaining memory to dump. It works on FreeBSD-3.x but never on FreeBSD-4 and current. The machine is a MSI i815 bookpc with IBM 40GV and 60GXP HDs. Could the IBM hard disks be the culprit?
