as root, killall cvsup
edit the ports-supfile in /usr/share/examples/cvsup and provide
a different default host 
I thought the servers had all been updated to a post-Sept. 9 version
of cvsupd, so check your cvsup binary with cvsup -v to make sure it's
really not old.
