Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-hardware@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Dear Sirs. Some of our boxes running FreeBSD are based on AMD's K6-2 CPUs. My question is: Is AMD K6-2 CPU CPU type i586 or i686? At this time, I use in kernel the option CPU type i586 but I want to ask for that here not to give away performance by using a wrong type of CPU. Thanks for your comments, Gruss O.
