I see this error message when I exit from X-Windows:

"locale not supported by C library"

and a similar message when I run a perl script:

"setting locale failed
LC_ALL=(unset_
LANG="en_US.ISO_8859-1"

I recently installed the 2.1.7 Security Release.  Can someone explain to
me what is going on?
