I see the principle you are driving at.. but am not quite up to understanding how to go about it. To be honest I am struggling to get my head around the port makefiles and their syntax!! It looks as though it should be easy -- but I seem to make progress far too slowly!! Am I right in assuming you are suggesting that modify the Makefile so that I would be able to: # make ./configure --/my/path/A --/my/path/B etc and that would mean adding lines to the makefile to fulfill my ./configure --[path] --[path] If that is what you mean - would you have the time to give me an example I can work from? If you have it would be great -- if not that is fine too Thanks again David
