Perhaps a bit late for this, but I just noticed in
http://bento.freebsd.org/errorlogs/i386-4-latest/p5-bioperl-devel-0.9.0.log
(search for 'packlist'):

Writing /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-freebsd/auto/Bio/.packlist
...
===>  Building package for p5-bioperl-devel-0.9.0
tar: lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i386-freebsd/auto/Bio/.packlist: Cannot stat: No such file or directory

Why is it that tar is looking in the wrong directory (perl-5.6)?
