I'll open the pr again. Can you send me the output of fgrep ppp_ /etc/rc.network /etc/rc.conf /etc/defaults/rc.conf please. I suspect /etc/defaults/rc.conf still doesn't have ppp_user defined, resulting in ``su -c "blah"'' being executed. This will give you a shell prompt. > The following reply was made to PR conf/20699; it has been noted by GNATS. > > From: Mark Jacobs <mark.jacobs@custserv.com> > To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, jacobsm@gate.net > Cc: > Subject: Re: conf/20699: Bootup does not complete > Date: Mon, 21 Aug 2000 14:43:15 -0400 > > I believe you are incorrect. /etc/defaults/rc.conf at the 1.53.2.9 level > does have the default defined. > > I also cvsuped last night (8/20) 21:00 edt, rebuilt system and same > error occurs. > > Mark Jacobs -- Brian <brian@Awfulhak.org> <brian@[uk.]FreeBSD.org> <http://www.Awfulhak.org> <brian@[uk.]OpenBSD.org> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour !
