If yes, I would like to know who that is and around which time he/she intends to complete it. If noone is working on this, a colleague of mine is thinking about doing that job. He had already ported the most recent BIND 4.9.4 to FreeBSD 2.1.5 last year, and we had been running his port on our main nameserver for about 8 months. If there is any interest on the FreeBSD side, we could do the BIND 8.1 port in a proper way so that it can be submitted to the FreeBSD source tree. Hints on how to do this correctly are appreciated.
