	use the '-c' option at boot.  when the 'config>' prompt appears 
you can use any of several commands: 

	ls				show present configuration
	irq	<device> <number>	change irq for device
	port	<device> <number>	
	iomem	<device> <number>
	quit				end session, write changes to 
					disk file

	if its a package, try 'pkg_add <package name>'
	if its a port, untar it, cd into the new directory, type 'make'

	xsetroot, please read the man page 'man xsetroot'
