Is it worth investigating GNUstep on FreeBSD? It seems to me that it offers a lot, with 2 issues, one minor, one major. First, it still seems to have some menu glitches when displaying on FreeBSD. Second, it seems like the skill set is difficult to find. If it's a personal project that's fine, but if it becomes necessary to drop an ad in the paper for an Objective C programmer, I can imagine there would be slim pickings.
