History. One of the things that drew me to FreeBSD is that *is* BSD Unix (Linux tends to an eclectic mix of SysV + BSD); and UNIX people that know BSD would be more comfortable with FreeBSD. You may want to talk about BSD vs GPL licensing (good for a couple of minutes), even if it may draw controversy. Distribution differences and development models. Emulation (we do Linux, but they don't do FreeBSD). As to handling the crowd: Have slides and visual aids, they distract the audience.
